BLACK SNOW | LEBOHANG | 2015
I really love this drawing, It is one of the earliest sketches of what my vision for Black snow was. I kept it for close to two years out of fear of not being able to paint it the way it deserved, I felt that my skill level wasn’t where it needed to be to bring about the required result, I had failed many times over with various paintings before then. What I didn’t realise was that all that failure would come together in this painting, aesthetics, color values, blending, depth of field, lighting and texture, it all just flawlessly came together.
