BLACK SNOW | DIKELEDI |2017
Dikeledi is in fact the first drawing I used to learn digital painting, it is the one where I allowed myself to struggle, be frustrated and to fail. She was never really ever finished, I just moved onto the next drawing, but just recently she was requested as a print and the image quality didn’t hold during print so I decided to repaint her, surprising myself in the process and doing it in just two nights after work.
The really interesting thing about revisiting old work is that it is like looking at your old self, it helps recognise and appreciate the progress I have made over the years. when I started this could have easily taken me 6 months to make it look okay, now It takes as long as my laziness allows me.
